Goal: Write a Press Release
I know that most of you are going to say: “I don’t know how to write a press release!” and “I don’t have anything newsworthy to write about.”
Here’s what you do:
- Go to: http://www.prweb.com and click on ‘Customer Examples’
- Scroll down and look for an area that might fit your website. The have examples by:
- Industry
- News Types
- Success Stories
- Scan through a couple of examples and find one that you consider to be a good example and you feel comfortable with the flow.
- Decide how you can use for your website and write a press release based on their model. (I do not want your to plagiarize – just model)
NOTE: If you are a natural writer you may not need a model.
Remember:
- Keyword in the Title (natural!)
- Keyword 1-3 times in text (natural)
- Informational NOT sales letter
- Elements: Title, Summary, Body, Tags
