Day 12 – Bookmark PR
Goal: Promote press release with bookmarking
You have already done a few bookmarks so this should be easy.
Go to the site where you submitted your first press release and get the URL for your press release.
Note: At www.free-press-release.com go to the dashboard ( you have to login) and click on ‘’Published Releases’. You should see your press release listed.
Click on the release you want to promote and it should open up a new window. You want to copy the URL and save in a notepad.
Now you want to bookmark this press release. The easiest way to bookmark is to use tools like socialmarker.com or onlywire.com. These tools support 30-50 different social bookmarking sites.
Another tool I like for smaller bookmarking jobs is Firefox Addons. I like ‘AddThis’ because it allows me to have a customized toolbar for bookmarking my favorite sites.
You can download this addon here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4076
I would recommend that you take this opportunity to set up a couple of new bookmarking sites. We have done dig and delicious on previous days. If you have a couple of favorite bookmarking sites you can use them.
In not here are few of my favorites:
- Technoriati
- Stumbleupon
- Mister Wong
- Jumptags
- Folkd
- Faves
- Slashdot
- Connotea
